About Tennessee Valley Recovery
Tennessee Valley Recovery is an outpatient treatment center in East Knoxville. We treat substance use disorders, mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD and bipolar disorder, and the very common situation where both are going on at once.
Our mission is to cast a wide net to people seeking long-term recovery, by creating multiple pathways to a better quality of life. In practice that means you get a plan built around you, not a program you have to fit into: partial hospitalization (PHP) or intensive outpatient (IOP), evidence-based therapy, psychiatry and medication management, and holistic work like equine therapy, all under one roof.

★★★★★I have been to a lot of treatment centers over the years and this one has a special place in my heart. Something about the staff and atmosphere made me want to finally put in the effort to get better. I now have 18 months clean and I don’t think I would be where I’m at if I went anywhere else.

Tour

Admissions
You reach a real admissions specialist, not a call center. Confidential, no pressure. We talk about what is going on and answer your questions.
We check your benefits with your insurer the same day, then do a clinical assessment to recommend the right level of care.
Usually within days. We handle orientation, schedule and paperwork, and involve your family as much as you want.
Areas we serve
We offer a partial hospitalization program (PHP), which runs five days a week during the day, and an intensive outpatient program (IOP) with day and evening options, for both mental health and addiction. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT), psychiatry, medication management and aftercare are available as part of either track. We are an outpatient center, so you go home each night. If you need medical detox or inpatient care first, our admissions team will help you find the right starting point and we can take over from there.
We are in network with Ambetter, Cigna and Blue Cross Blue Shield, and we work with most other major plans including Aetna, Anthem, Carelon, Humana, Magellan, UMR and United Healthcare. The fastest way to know for sure is to call (866) 726-2131 or send the short form on this page. We verify your benefits with your insurer, free and confidentially, and tell you exactly what to expect before you commit to anything.
Usually within a few days of your first call. After a short phone conversation and an insurance check, we schedule a clinical assessment, then an admission date. If you are in crisis, tell us and we will move faster.
Yes. That is the point of outpatient care. IOP meets a few hours at a time, several days a week, with an evening option. PHP is a full day, five days a week, and many clients use short-term leave or FMLA for it. We will help you work out the logistics.
Yes. Your care is protected by HIPAA and federal confidentiality rules for substance use treatment (42 CFR Part 2). We do not share anything with your employer or family without your written permission.
2723 Asbury Road, Suite 103, Knoxville, TN 37914, a few minutes east of downtown Knoxville. We see clients from Knoxville, Maryville, Alcoa, Oak Ridge, Farragut, Sevierville, Lenoir City, Powell, Seymour and across East Tennessee.
